Our Board

Alan Muench​

Alan’s background is in the real estate investment arena. He has recently retired from the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio where he was the Director of the real estate investment department. As director of the real estate asset class, Alan was responsible for the purchase or sale of nearly $5 billion of real estate assets and managed a department that was responsible for a $90 billion portfolio in the USA and abroad.  He has a Master of Administrative Science degree from John’s Hopkins University and a Bachelors of Architectural Engineering degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He and his wife Tina live in Westerville, Ohio.

Tim Scholten

Tim is an Independent Consultant in the Financial Services Industry. He has served is various Executive Leadership roles in a top 20 Regional Bank. He is President of Visible Progress a financial services consulting firm, specializing in leveraging technology to designing and building leading edge operations, self-service banking options and call center customer support teams. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His heart for missions is demonstrated by leading mission teams to various countries over the last 20 years.

Chris Barrett

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), retired December 2024. He spent his entire professional career in public accounting, including the past 22 years as a tax partner at Crowe LLP. Chris graduated from the University of Toledo in 1986 with a Bachelors of Business Administration as an Accounting major. He and his wife, Brenda live in Westerville, Ohio.

Matthew J. Vulanich

Matt was born and raised in Niles, OH, earned an undergraduate degree at Xavier University and an MBA from Youngstown State University. He spent his entire career in commercial real estate in Youngstown, Cincinnati, Chicago and Columbus. The majority of Matt’s career was spent in the real estate department at STRS Ohio until his retirement in September 2020. Matt is an active member at St. Brigid of Kildare Parish in Dublin and in prison ministry at the Marion Correctional Institution as part of Kindway, a non-profit that helps inmates better themselves by seeking Christ while incarcerated. Matt is a member of the Related Affordable Foundation board and the Property Committee of the Homeport board. In an effort to keep learning, Matt attends non-credit classes at The Ohio State University through Program 60. Matt and his wife Nova have two adult married sons and three grandchildren. Matt enjoys walking, cycling, exercising, reading, listening to music and being with family.

Douglas C. Robinette

Doug is an executive coach and consultant – helping senior leaders and organizations deal with a variety of strategic, tactical, and leadership issues. Previously, he spent over 30 years in senior and executive leadership roles in large organizations. He sits on several boards, and continues to do project-oriented mission work both in the United States and abroad

Michael Monks

Michael is a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran and a graduate of Embry-Riddle University. He has travelled most of his life, including mission trips around the world and is currently a Captain for a commercial airline. He has also started and run several small businesses over the years. Michael resides in Westerville, Ohio with his wife Michelle.
